Hello!
My name is Matthew Federico and I am the owner of Get Tanked Long Island.
I have an incredible story to tell you, and I hope to inspire you to join us in taking your fitness to the next level.
I have lifted weights and trained since I was 15 years old. The fitness industry intrigued me, and I enjoyed reading magazines, researching everything online from the newest diets to how many sets of a movement were best for muscle growth.
An avid gym goer, I thought I was in great shape! This belief was measured by the fact that I could do CrossFit workouts, run a couple miles without stopping, and even get through a “Burn” yoga class unscathed.
It’s wasn’t till I got tanked and discovered underwater weighing that I realized I wasn't as fit as I thought...
Stop guessing & find
The minute I got my results and could see what was holding me back. It changed everything. I started paying more attention to what I was eating and how much, taking advantage of nutrient timing and proper supplementation.
I started taking care of my body with the right vitamins, because you have to work on the inside of your body just as much as the outside.
Recovery became a priority, and I would get a massage once a month to get rid of that deep lactic acid in my muscles from all of the workouts.
I continued training and felt better than I ever have in my life. Not just because I was working harder, but because my head was finally on straight and I was working smarter.
I could see exactly what my goals were and could work directly towards them. I hit my goals in one year of training after trying for years and only making a little progress and then regressing.
